Homecoming Rewind

Want to see all the work that the active chapter put in this week on Homecoming?  Here’s everything we have from “Treat Yourself to Homecoming 2010”.

Lambda Chi Alpha only placed in one event, which was the float competition.  The second place finish was shared with Omicron Chi Theta Local Sorority, which the Choppers worked on the float with this year.  Other events this year included the banner competition, Carve the Candidate (carving your candidate’s likeness into a pumpkin), Munchies on the Mall (themed tables of snack food), Candidate Croon, and College Cheer Competition.

Baranoski Named to Who’s Who 2011 List

While Brother Stephen Baranoski (’11) may not have won the Homecoming title this year, he was awarded the honor of being the only Lambda Chi from Marietta College named to the Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges list for 2011.

According to a statement from Marietta College:

This award, one of the more prestigious the academic community can bestow, gives national recognition to outstanding campus leaders of the year. Students have been honored in the annual directory since it was first published in 1934.

Campus nominating committees and editors of the directory have included the names of these students based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
